Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Kobitto Keyboard ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, usage, and protection when you use our Android mobile keyboard application (Package Name: com.kobitto.keyboard).

We are fully committed to protecting your personal privacy. Our keyboard is architected from the ground up to operate locally on your device without transmitting your private keystrokes or sensitive information across the internet.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike cloud-dependent keyboards, Kobitto Keyboard operates under a strict Zero Data Collection policy:

• No Keystroke Logging: We do NOT log, store, monitor, or transmit any characters, words, sentences, or numbers you type.
• No Personal Credentials: We never record passwords, credit card details, usernames, addresses, or phone numbers.
• No Audio or Voice Recording: In this release, Kobitto Keyboard does not record, capture, or transmit background audio. Voice typing capabilities are currently disabled and will only be introduced with explicit user consent.
• No Location Data: We do not track or request your GPS or coarse location.
• No Device Identifiers: We do not collect IMEI, MAC address, advertising ID (AAID), or hardware serial numbers.
• No Contacts or Photos: We do not access or read your contacts, gallery, or internal storage files.

3. Local On-Device Features

Any features that facilitate your typing experience are processed strictly inside your device:

• Dictionary & Next-Word Prediction: Word suggestions and auto-corrections are calculated locally using on-device dictionary algorithms. No words are uploaded to any external server.
• Keyboard Settings: Your preferences (layout selection, vibration haptic feedback, theme selection, sound toggles) are stored locally in your device's private app storage (Android SharedPreferences / Room database) and never synced to external servers.

4. Permissions Used by the Application

Kobitto Keyboard only requests permissions strictly required to provide keyboard and customization features:

• VIBRATE: Used solely to provide tactile haptic feedback when you tap a key. This can be enabled or disabled in the app settings at any time.
• INTERNET: The keyboard core typing engine functions completely offline without requiring internet access. Any network capability is restricted strictly to user-initiated external web links (such as visiting this privacy policy or downloading keyboard updates).

5. Third-Party Services and Advertisements

Kobitto Keyboard contains:

• NO Third-Party Ad Networks: No Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Facebook Audience Network, or other advertising SDKs.
• NO Tracking or Analytics SDKs: No Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, or background telemetry SDKs tracking user behavior.

6. Children's Privacy

Kobitto Keyboard is safe for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13. Because our application does not collect any personal identifiable information (PII) from any user, we fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.

7. Security of Your Data

Since your keystrokes and personal data never leave your device, your information is protected by Android's built-in operating system security sandbox. We do not maintain any cloud databases or user accounts, meaning your typed text cannot be intercepted or breached from our servers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements in our application or legal compliance requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
